Heritage Community Improvement Plan Area
A by-law of the City of Ottawa to designate the all lands within the geographic boundary of the City of Ottawa as the Heritage Community Improvement Plan Area.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. C. P.13, City Council may, may designate the whole or any part of an area covered by an official plan as a community improvement area;
AND WHEREAS Council has convened public meetings to consider the adoption of the Heritage Community Improvement Plan for the creation of a new tax rebate program for heritage building restoration;
AND WHEREAS on October 21, 2019 and November 5, 2019 the Built Heritage Sub-Committee and Finance and Economic Development Committee, respectively, recommended the designation of all lands within the geographic boundary of the City of Ottawa as the Heritage Community Improvement Plan Area;
AND WHEREAS on November 27, 2019, City council carried the recommendations of the Built Heritage Sub-Committee and Finance and Economic Development Committee;
THEREFORE the Council of the City of Ottawa enacts as follows:
- The following area is designated as the Heritage Community Improvement Project Area:
- All lands within the geographic boundary of the City of Ottawa.
- This by-law shall come into force in accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended.
